The Creator Gives Us
Nature's Glory to Enjoy!

Psalm 96:12-13
Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth (NKJV).

There is no doubt about it; spring is my FAVORITE time of year. I get a kick out of just walking down the street and looking at the beautiful flowering trees, but oh how much more special it is to take a drive up into the country and look at all the fields and flowers; looking at the trees that are coming alive - what a joyful time of year it is.

In Psalm 96, the palmist writes: "Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth." The psalmist knew what it was to see the fields rejoicing and to see the trees just breaking forth in praise.

Because I see what is happening in the Spring, that's how I picture what is happening - it is as if the earth is coming alive and praising God for all of its beauty for He truly is our creator. He is the one who has made all of these good things. Enjoy the spring! Enjoy your drive! Enjoy a walk down the street! And, so as the palmist in Psalm 96 encourages us to do- "Give to the Lord, O kindreds of the peoples, give to the Lord glory and strength. Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him all the earth." Give glory to God, rejoice - spring is here!
