Four Things God Wants You to Know
1 - Your Need As God Sees It:
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23
"There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God."
Romans 3:10-11
"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"
Jeremiah 17:9
"All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags."
Isaiah 64:6
"Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:3
2 - Your Own Helplessness:
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'."
John 14:6
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12
"By observing the law no one will be justified."
Galatians 2:16
"For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."
James 2:10
3 - God's Provision for Your Need:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16
"We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all."
Isaiah 53:6
"God made Him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God."
II Corinthians 5:21
"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."
I Peter 3:18
4 - God's Promise to Meet Your Needs:
"Jesus said, 'I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand'."
John 10:28
"Being confident of this, that he (God) who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Philippians 1:6
"Therefore He (Christ) is able to save completely those who come to God through Hi,, because he always lives to intercede for them."
Hebrews 7:25
Therefore... Turn from Your Sin
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out."
Acts 3:19
Put Your Trust in Jesus
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved."
Acts 16:31
Make Your Decision Today!
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Romans 10:9,10
You may use this prayer, or something like it, to tell God of your decision:
Dear God,
I realize I am a sinner and that my sin will keep me from Heaven. I believe Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, paid for my sins by dying on the cross and that He can forgive all my sins. I now trust Him alone as my Savior. Thank you for your gift of love and of eternal life.
