Before sin entered the world man was able to walk in the presence of God, but God hates sin which is what seperated us from Him (Genesis 3). Jesus needed to died for us because without Him we have no hope of entering His presence in Heaven. Hell was created because Lucifer (Satan) was prideful and tried sitting in the throne of God, so God cast Him out of Heaven. Some people say God is not loving because He sends people to Hell but look at it like this. In school, a teacher gives us a text book and teaches in class so that we may learn and pass the class, and if you actually study and apply yourself you will pass, but you sluff off and are just lazy the entire time you will fail. Christ has given us the chance through Him to pass and make it to Heaven. But for those who do not accept Him and do not live for Him are sent to Hell. We are all given an equal chance to accept Him as our Lord and Savior, so God is extremely fair. Read through Romans and it'll answer all question you may have. dacho,
